What is Casa Blanca 86?
Casa Blanca (Suba) is a tiny barrio/neighborhood located in Bogota, Colombia in South America. It stands 8,600 feet above sea level and on a cool morning in June of 1982, I was born here. This was my first home.
Though not there for long, this is the place my journey began. Across continents and decades I now have the utmost privilege and joy to help people find places to call home. Most often, just like me, you have to leave one home to find another. Home can be a place, a feeling or even a longing. Home can provide protection, respite & a sense of belonging. However, for some home is something we always carry within a safety net of sorts that we unpack and nurture within 4 walls until we move onto our next 4 walls.
My passion is coaching & working with Realtors® & small business owners to foster their spirits to be brave enough to grow, out-grow and re-build what home looks like to them within their own businesses.
The words ‘Casa’ & ‘Blanca’ translate directly to ‘White’ & ‘House’ though the White House on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave is not what immediately comes to mind for me, but rather the long sought dream of a home, whether a building or space, something to call our own.
As a proud independent business owner of a business worth owning, Casa Blanca 86 encompasses the beginning, the past and the future. It signifies all the places we call home, the journeys we take, and the people who help us get there.
Welcome to Casa Blanca 86, my first home.
